About Our Founder
Brandon C. Chestnut, Founder and CEO of Self-Made Couture, grew up in a single family household, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While earning his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Purdue University, he had the great fortune of pledging Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and upon graduation went on to Cleveland State University where he earned his Master of Business Administration concentrated in International Business and Marketing.
It was during his graduate school training that he had the rare opportunity to intern abroad in Shanghai, China where he found his love for custom suits. He graduated from graduate school with high honors and immediately started his own custom clothier company, through the connections he made with manufacturers around the world.
Now he and his wife (Co-Owner, Sydney Chestnut) have grown the company to luxury showrooms in multiple locations with a team of Self-Made Style Experts ready to help clients design themselves.
Our Process
BECOMING SELF-MADE
Whether virtually or in-person, we guarantee an exceptional experience. It's our goal to learn more about you so we can better advise on clothing that will make an impact and help define your style. You work hard and so do our fabrics! Don't be surprised if your custom Self-Made Couture clothing lasts longer than most garments in your closet.
CONSULTATION
Your personal Self-Made Style Experts will guide you through designing every detail of your custom garment(s). Each detail such as functional button holes, contrasting stitching, special linings, etc. is in your control.
MEASUREMENT
In less than 15 minutes, our custom measurement process is completed virtually or in person, including a detailed posture survey to ensure a perfect digital profile with pictures is created.
TAILORING & DELIVERY
Using superior materials and an ageless process with no shortcuts, your custom pattern is laser cut and hand assembled by our seasoned tailors. Depending on your fabric selection, your custom garment can be ready within 3-5 weeks for delivery.
