What does Self-Made Couture make?
We create custom suits, tuxedos, shirts, pants, vests, outerwear, and other tailored clothing.
How is Self-Made Couture clothing made?
Every garment is custom-made for you. During your free consultation, your Style Expert helps you select fabrics, colors, design details, and measurements. Your garment is then made specifically for you.
What fabrics do you offer?
We offer over 10,000 fabrics, including a wide selection of colors, patterns, and textures for custom suits, tuxedos, shirts, and other tailored clothing. Your Style Expert will help you explore options that complement your style, occasion, and budget.
Can I bring my own fabric?
No. Self-Made Couture does not accept customer-supplied fabric. Your Style Expert will help you select from our available fabric collections during your consultation.
How should I care for my custom clothing?
Proper care depends on your garment's fabric and construction. Follow the garment's care instructions and use a professional cleaner experienced with tailored clothing when appropriate. Your Style Expert can also offer fabric-specific recommendations.
TIMING, DELIVERY & ALTERATIONS
How long does custom clothing take?
Standard production typically takes approximately 6–8 weeks after your design details and measurements are finalized. Allow additional time for shipping, fittings, and any necessary alterations.
Do you offer rush orders?
Rush production may be available depending on your fabric, garment, and event date. Additional fees may apply. Contact us before placing your order to confirm availability.
How early should I order for an event?
We recommend booking your consultation at least 3 months before your event whenever possible, especially for weddings and proms. Standard production takes approximately 6–8 weeks after designs and measurements are finalized, with additional time for delivery and alterations. Larger wedding parties should start even earlier.
Can my order be shipped?
Yes! Completed orders undergo a final quality inspection before being shipped directly to customers. You'll receive applicable shipping and tracking information. Local pickup is also available at our Seattle showroom.
What if my clothing needs alterations?
Alterations are a normal part of perfecting the fit. Self-Made Couture includes up to $75 toward alterations per order. Your Style Expert will coordinate next steps. If alterations cannot resolve a fit issue, the order may be reviewed for remake eligibility.
PRICING, PAYMENT & POLICIES
How much does custom clothing cost?
Pricing depends on the garment, fabric, and customization. We offer options across a range of budgets. During your free consultation, your Style Expert will explain options and pricing before you place an order.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer interest-free payment plan options. Your Style Expert can explain available arrangements and payment schedules.
What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are displayed during online checkout. Your Style Expert can explain accepted payment options for showroom purchases and payment arrangements.
Can I return or receive a refund for custom clothing?
Because every garment is custom-made, purchases are subject to our custom-order policies. If you have a concern, contact your Style Expert. We'll review your situation individually and work toward an appropriate resolution, which may include alterations, a remake, or another solution based on the circumstances.
Can I cancel or change my order after purchasing?
Please contact your Style Expert immediately to request a cancellation or design change. Requests are reviewed based on your order's production status. Custom orders are handled under our custom-order policies.

Your Style Expert will help you explore fabrics, colors, styles, and customization options. You'll discuss your occasion, preferences, budget, measurements, pricing, and production timeline.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before booking?
Not at all! Bring inspiration photos if you have them, or start from scratch. Your Style Expert will help you create a look that feels uniquely yours.
WEDDINGS & GROUP ORDERS
Do you create custom wedding suits and tuxedos?
Absolutely! We create custom wedding attire for individuals and wedding parties, including suits, tuxedos, shirts, and coordinated looks.
Can you coordinate suits for an entire wedding party?
Yes! We help coordinate fabrics, colors, and designs across your wedding party while allowing individuals to personalize their looks. Start early to allow time for consultations, production, and alterations.
Can you work with wedding parties in different cities?
Absolutely! We have showrooms in Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle, and Portland. We also offer on-location consultations and fittings for an additional fee, bringing the custom clothing experience to you. Contact us to discuss your group's needs.
How far in advance should we start planning wedding attire?
We recommend starting at least 3–4 months before your wedding, and earlier for larger parties. This allows time for design coordination, measurements, production, and final alterations.
